I Missed the Bus

In May 2026, I went on a trip to Kagoshima.

Near Tenmonkan, I opened Google Maps to catch the City View bus. I walked in the direction the map pointed. I walked for five minutes. There was no bus stop.

I asked a clerk at a nearby convenience store. "Ah, you have to go back 200 meters from there." The bus had already left.

Later I found out that the bus stop coordinates on Google Maps were off by nearly 200 meters from the actual location. For a foreign tourist who doesn't speak Japanese, this is fatal. Thirty minutes until the next bus. I waited under the scorching sun.

That experience was the start of this project.
