Some stops are not where Google Maps places them. One traveler searched in vain for the stop and watched the bus pull away.
Information in other languages can be hard to find at bus stops. Some visitors have been unsure whether an arriving bus was the one they needed.

Saigo Takamori (1828–1877) was born in Satsuma, today’s Kagoshima. He led the Meiji Restoration and died in his hometown on Shiroyama hill. September 2027 marks 150 years since his death; January 2028, 200 years since his birth.

The City View bus leaves Kagoshima-Chuo Station, circles 20 stops and comes back to the station. Here are a few places worth hopping off for.

The ferry terminal is right by the Aquarium stop. Sakurajima is about 15 minutes away by ferry.
We walked around all 20 stops on 31 May 2026. Following the Transportation Bureau’s feedback, we corrected Chuo Station’s departure and arrival locations using official GTFS data on 1 November 2026. The creator checked the corrected locations on site that same day.
At 8 of 20 stops, Google Maps is off by 50 m or more. The worst is No.13 at 220 m. We re-audit regularly and publish the results.
